Are the eggs fresh?

Yes! Eggs are collected daily and restocked often, so you’re getting truly fresh, farm-fresh eggs.

How often do you restock?

We collect eggs every day and usually get about a dozen eggs daily. The stand is restocked as fresh eggs are gathered, so availability may vary — but they’re always fresh!

Why aren’t the eggs refrigerated?

Fresh eggs don’t need refrigeration right away because they still have their natural protective coating, called the “bloom.” This coating helps keep bacteria out and keeps the eggs fresh.

Do I need to refrigerate them at home?

You can keep unwashed eggs at room temperature for a while, but I recommend refrigerating them at home to keep them fresh longer. Once refrigerated, keep them refrigerated.

Why aren’t the eggs washed?

Washing removes the natural protective bloom. Leaving the bloom on helps the eggs stay fresh longer. If needed, gently rinse right before using.

Do I need to wash them?

No need to wash before storing. If you’d like to wash them, do so right before cracking and using.

What do you feed your chickens?

My chickens are fed IFA 20% protein layer pellets along with healthy table scraps. They always have fresh water and space to roam.

Do you have a rooster?

Nope! Hens lay eggs without a rooster. A rooster is only needed for baby chicks, so all eggs sold here are unfertilized.

How will the money be used?

Half of the money goes toward caring for and raising the chickens (feed, supplies, and upkeep), and the other half is being saved for college. Thank you for helping support both my chickens and my future!
