2026 Readers on the Red Carpet - Meadow Brook Fundraiser
Dear Mustang Parents/Guardians,
We're thrilled to announce that it's time for our annual Literacy Fundraiser, dedicated to promoting literacy and raising funds to purchase audio enhancements for our school. We are hosting a fundraiser called Readers on the Red Carpet. This includes:
Reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown in our classrooms
Gathering pledges for students' independent reading
Watching the movie, The Wild Robot, as a community
Students will have the opportunity to collect pledges from April 16th to April 19th. It's essential for us to prioritize the safety of our students, so we encourage them to seek pledges only from family members or trusted individuals; we do not endorse door-to-door fundraising. The reading portion of the event will run from April 20th to April 26th. During this period, students will track their daily reading minutes on the provided calendar. The total minutes read will determine the amount of money earned. Pledges will be due April 27th to May 1st.
On April 27th, students will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet, buy concessions, have a photo op and celebrate their accomplishment before enjoying a showing of The Wild Robot together. Doors will open at 5:45 for pre-show activities. The movie will start at 6:15 sharp. We are so proud of our readers!
If you would like to read along with us, The Wild Robot chapter book and picture book are available for purchase on Successfund. Book pickup will be in the office.
