Little Lady Wasps Wrestling
Little Lady Wasps Wrestling is a beginner-friendly wrestling program for girls in Pre-K through 2nd grade who are ready to try wrestling, learn something new, and have a lot of fun along the way!
No previous wrestling experience is needed. Our goal is to introduce young girls to the basic fundamentals of wrestling in a positive, encouraging environment where they can build confidence, coordination, strength, and new friendships.
Girls wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and we are excited to offer our inaugural Little Lady Wasps season! For the first time, our youngest girls will have a program of their own, including all-girls teams, all-girls match days, and a final all-girls tournament.
We want this to be a great first experience with wrestling. Practices will focus on age-appropriate fundamentals, games, movement, and simple wrestling skills. Saturday match days will give the girls an opportunity to try what they have learned in a fun and supportive setting.
Program Cost: $40
Registration includes:
Five weeks of wrestling instruction
Saturday match days
Little Lady Wasps Wrestling T-shirt
Medal at the final tournament
Plenty of fun, games, prizes, and opportunities to learn!
Registration fees will primarily help cover the cost of T-shirts, medals, candy, prizes, and other program expenses. Any remaining funds will be used to help support our volunteer coaching staff.
Season Dates
November 9 – December 14
Practice Schedule
Each team will practice one weekday per week, with match days taking place on Saturday mornings.
When registering, families will be able to select the weekday that works best for their schedule. We will do our best to accommodate everyone's preferred practice day based on the number of wrestlers registered.
What Should Parents Expect?
If your daughter has never wrestled before, that is exactly what this program is for! She does not need to know any wrestling moves, own wrestling shoes, or have any previous experience.
We simply want girls to come ready to move, learn, make friends, build confidence, and have fun.
Whether wrestling becomes a sport they continue for years or simply something new they enjoy trying this winter, we hope every Little Lady Wasp finishes the season feeling proud of herself and excited about what she learned.
