Welcome to the Mountain View Greenhouse & Floral Store

The Mountain View Greenhouse & Floral Store is a student-run program at Mountain View High School offering plants, floral arrangements, and seasonal products created through hands-on agricultural education.

This store gives students the opportunity to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in a real-world business setting. Students are involved in growing plants, designing floral arrangements, managing inventory, preparing customer orders, marketing products, and providing customer service.

Floral of the Month Club

Our Floral of the Month Club gives Floral Design students additional opportunities to work with fresh flowers and build their arranging skills.

Club members receive seasonal arrangements designed and created by Mountain View Floral Design students. Each arrangement gives students experience working with different flowers, colors, containers, design styles, and price points while creating a finished product for a real customer.

Your participation helps us purchase the fresh flowers, greenery, containers, and supplies needed to provide students with more meaningful hands-on floral design experiences throughout the semester.

Learning Through a Real Business

All products sold through the Mountain View Greenhouse & Floral Store are connected directly to classroom instruction and supervised student projects.

Students gain practical experience in areas such as:

• Greenhouse and plant production

• Plant propagation and care

• Floral design

• Processing and handling fresh flowers

• Merchandising and product presentation

• Inventory management

• Pricing and cost control

• Marketing

• Sales

• Customer service

The store also supports Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) opportunities by allowing students to build career-ready skills while operating an authentic school-based agricultural business.

Supporting Mountain View Agriculture

Proceeds from purchases are reinvested into the Mountain View agriculture program to purchase plant materials, fresh flowers, containers, growing supplies, equipment, and other resources that expand hands-on learning opportunities for students.
