Artist Name: Indya Frazier
Title: Ecentric Electric
Medium: Acrylic Paint
Client: Sister, Imani Frazier

Junior, 7th Period

My artwork, Eccentric Electric, was inspired by my client’s love for music. She wanted a piece that was simple, yet completed her love for music and to compliment her bedroom, which revolves around lots of greenery and music records. I drew inspiration from contemporary artist, David Hockney, as he uses solid, yet lively imagery in his artwork and historical artist, Georges Braque, who famously uses cubism but blends his medium almost like a sketch

To combine both art styles and make it come to life, I put mixes of all shades of greens on the guitar, using dark green on the outer edge for shadow, while using light green to add hue toward the middle and bottom of the guitar. I also added white dots, swirls, and hearts to add the “sketchy” lighthearted feel to it.

All purchased artwork should be picked up and taken home from the reception on April 23rd 4-6pm at North Gwinnett High school in the CLC.
