Required for all students. Choir is a co-curricular activity with multiple opportunities for students to travel, have meals provided and participate in social events. This fee helps to cover the cost of meals, buses, and other incidental costs. Here is a sample breakdown:
At just over 200 students in Choir
Concert Meals: $5 per student, 2 concerts with meal provided = $10
Buses to Christmas caroling events and field trips: $125 per trip, 10 trips = approx. $7 per student
Choir Binder and Pencil (first one): $5 per student
Uniform Cleaning: $3 per student
Social events: 10-12 events, $100 avg. cost = $5 per student
There will be other ticketed events for Choir (Rice football, Houston Dynamo, Spring Trip)
The money you FUNDRAISE can cover this fee. Please reach out to friends, family, and co-workers. You may be surprised by how much people are willing to help. Everyone will be charged the fee at the end of October when the campaign concludes.
You will receive credit in CutTime and be clear in Skyward when you pay this fee or it is noted in the fundraiser. I will be checking at least every other day and updating the system. This is due as soon as possible!
