Bring the Music Back to Life: Support Burbank's New Mariachi Band
By Ricardo IV Tamayo on Unsplash
Burbank Middle School is launching a Mariachi Program, and our students are ready to play. We've received instruments from other Houston ISD schools, but many haven't been used in years. Right now, vihuelas, guitars, violins, and trumpets are missing strings, bows, mouthpieces, and need repairs to work.
Your donation buys the replacement parts and repairs our young musicians need:
- $15 = a set of vihuela or guitar strings
- $30 = a playable bow or rosin for violin
- $50 = bridge repairs or trumpet valve maintenance
- $100+ = cases, stands, and long-term repair supplies
Every dollar goes directly to making these instruments playable. Please donate today to get our Mariachi Program off the ground.
