SWISD Fine Arts Summer Academy 2026

ADVANCED THEATRE CAMP

Students will audition and be cast for a principle or ensemble role in a straight one act length show. Students are required to audition with a 1 minute, contemporary comedic or dramatic monologue from a published play on April 1, 2026 at 5:30- 7:30 pm at the Southwest High School Black Box and theatre classrooms. Students will take daily classes in warm up techniques, ensemble building movement exercises, and acting trechniques and styles.

Dates: May 27-29, June 1-5, June 8-11. Students will present thier work to the public with an evening performance on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 6:30 pm in the Southwest High School Black Box. NOTE: Students will attend camp during regular hours on June 11 to help with the striking of their show.
