Support Orion Band: From Passion to Performance

Our band program at Orion Junior High is growing like crazy—in the best way! Next year, we’re set to double in size, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome so many new students who are eager to be part of something special. But with that growth comes a big challenge: we need more instruments. While the instruments we currently have are in good shape and well taken care of, we just don’t have enough to meet the needs of our program. The students here at Orion are some of the most hardworking, determined, and passionate kids I’ve ever met—they deserve instruments that match their energy and commitment.

For so many of them, band is more than just a class. It’s a place to belong, to express themselves, and to grow in confidence. It teaches them responsibility, teamwork, and perseverance—all while making music together. These are life skills they’ll carry with them long after the final concert ends.

That’s why I’m asking for your help. We’re looking for donations of gently used instruments that might be collecting dust somewhere, or financial contributions to help us purchase new ones. Every bit helps us get closer to making sure every student who wants to be in band can be—fully equipped and ready to go.

Join us for Instrument Drop Off Day at Orion Junior High on Saturday, May 10th from 10 am to 2 pm. You can come and drop off instruments, or if you'd prefer to donate cash. Thanks for your support!
