Have you ever wondered why birds of prey behave the way they do as they live and adapt within our ecosystem here in Tooele County? If you are a falcon fanatic or if hawks make your heart soar, you may want to come join our friends from HawkWatch International as they bring and share four different raptors with us.

In addition to seeing and learning about four different species of birds (falcon, hawk, eagle, and owl), students will have an opportunity to take pictures with these birds. Bring a camera or cell phone to capture pictures that will create a great memory!

All class registrations close seven days prior. Many classes fill quickly. However, each class requires a minimum of five participants to be held. If we do not have five participants, we will combine with another class or cancel and refund the money at the discretion of the Tooele Education Foundation. Class fees are otherwise non-refundable.

Registration covers bus transportation, lunch, snacks, water, a T-shirt, materials and supplies, and instruction. Students must dress appropriately for an outdoor experience. Closed-toe shoes, a hat, a light jacket, gloves (if appropriate), and sunscreen are highly recommended.

PM CLASSES: Students will board a TCSD school bus at Tooele High (301 W Vine Street, Tooele) at 12:00 PM and depart for the Ophir Canyon Education Center. The bus will return to Tooele High at approximately 4:00 PM. Please make arrangements to have your student picked up at this time. Students will not have access to the school to call for a ride.
