🏆 About the Event:

The PGHS Cyber Vikings Invitational is a one-day esports competition for Utah high school students. Compete head-to-head in one of three popular titles from Nintendo and Epic Games. It’s double elimination, which means double the hype and double the chances to fight your way to the top!

🎮 Game Titles:

• Rocket League (2v2)

• Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (team point total)

• Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2v2 Squad Strike-style bracket)

📌 Each team must choose ONE game title to compete in.
All brackets will run simultaneously, starting at 10:00 AM.

🎯 Format:

• 2 players per team

• Max 16 teams per game (first come, first served - sign up now to save your spot)

• Check-in closes at 9:45 AM — teams may arrive at 9:15 AM to warm up

• Brackets run until complete (expected end: mid-to-late afternoon)

🥇 Prizes awarded to the 1st place team in each game!

💲 Registration:

• $10 per team (per game)

• Online registration only — no cash at the door

• ONE registration per team, per title

🎒 What to Bring:

• If you are playing SSBU or MK, please bring a Switch & dock setup (with ethernet capabilities)- the more we have, the quicker the brackets will go.

• Your own controllers

• Any necessary cables, adapters, or peripherals

• Label your gear — Cyber Vikings are not responsible for lost or stolen items

• Your team spirit, sportsmanship, and game face 😤

• Best-of-5 matches (until finals, which are Best-of-7)

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (teams of 2)

• Pool play → single elimination bracket

• 2-player teams, scores combined per race

• 12-race matches

• 150cc | Normal Items | Hard COM | All Vehicles | Choose Courses

• Must bring a Switch with MK8, controllers, and an ethernet-ready dock

• Naming/tagging convention required for tracking

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2v2)

• Squad Strike-style 2v2 format

• Double elimination bracket

• 3-stock, 7-minute matches | Friendly Fire ON

• Legal stage list | No items | Counterpick rules in effect
