New LED stadium lights for Copper Hills High School

The Jordan School District school board has agreed that the lights should be upgraded. Because of budget restrictions, they have asked the community to help fund this effort. With new, LED downward-facing lights, the athletes will benefit from better, safer lighting on the field, which will help them to see the ball and accurately film their games. The neighborhood will benefit from less light tresspass (pollution) in yards and homes and streets giving relief from glare, making driving at night safer for the residents nearby. All funds will be used to buy 4 sets of downward-facing LED lights with approved candlepower for the types of games that are now being played on the field. No funds will be used for administrative purposes. The lights will cost an estimated $450,000. All donations are tax deductible (with a receipt from this foundation) and business donations will earn advertising space in sports programs and on the field. A school board member is the contact person for that part of the program.
