Skyridge Football 9th Grade Strength & Conditioning
Our camp will be strength based with an emphasis on technique, injury prevention & explosiveness. The strength program is led by our strength and conditioning coordinator, Kimble Jensen. Kimble has an extensive background in strength and development as a former division 1 athlete and director of MyQFit.
The camp will be held four days/week over the course of 5 weeks from February 26 - March 29. It will take place at Skyridge High School from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Youth football players entering 9th grade (current 8th grade) are welcome to join. You will have the option to choose either 2 sessions per week (10 sessions) or 4 sessions per week (19 sessions). We will offer a similar option for the spring (April 8 - May 17).
2 Sessions ($50) - You will attend two one hour sessions each week. (10 total sessions)
Each workout has a specific focus for that day. You can attend any 2 sessions that fit your schedule but would strongly encourage you to attend a lower and upper body session weekly. Workouts 1 & 3 each week are a lower body emphasis with workouts 2 & 4 being an upper body emphasis.
4 sessions ($90) - You will attend four one hour sessions each week. (19 total sessions)
Each week you will receive two workouts with a lower body emphasis and two workouts with an upper body emphasis
Lifting Shirt ($30) - Optional. You will receive an Adidas Dri-Fit Skyridge Football lifting shirt. Must be ordered by January 26th.
The purpose is to introduce basic strength development techniques to 9th grade athletes. The hope is with this platform, we can expose them to Skyridge football norms, coaches and culture. The end goal is to help develop our youth to become better overall athletes as well as strengthening our relationship with our youth football community.
