πŸ… Parkview STEM Summer Camp: Summer Olympics Edition

Parkview High School is excited to host our annual STEM Summer Camp, a hands-on, engaging experience designed for students in grades 3–5. This year’s theme is the Summer Olympics, where students will explore science, engineering, and coding through fun, competitive challenges.

This camp will take place in the engineering lab at Parkview High School, providing students with access to real tools, creative materials, and an inspiring STEM environment.

  • Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Location: Parkview High School Engineering Lab

  • Grades: Rising 4th–6th graders

  • Hosted by: Parkview TSA (Technology Student Association)


πŸ”¬ What Students Will Experience

Students will participate in Olympic-inspired STEM challenges that are exciting, hands-on, and testable. Each day includes:

  • πŸ› οΈ Engineering Design Challenges
    Build and test creations such as balloon-powered cars, catapults, and watercraft

  • πŸ” Science Investigations
    Explore forces, motion, energy, and aerodynamics through interactive experiments

  • πŸ’» Intro to Coding
    Use beginner-friendly platforms to create animations, games, and digital scoreboards

  • 🏁 Team Competitions
    Students will test their designs in friendly competitions and earn points throughout the week

  • πŸ₯‡ Awards & Recognition
    Daily celebrations for creativity, teamwork, and performance

This camp is organized by Parkview TSA, a nationally recognized student organization.
Proceeds from the camp help support students traveling to the Technology Student Association National Conference, giving them opportunities to compete, learn, and represent our school at the national level.
