Scare A Teacher

The Sophomore Class Officers introduce a brand-new game to Ridgeline High School: Scare Your Teacher!

As an individual or working in a team (no more than 4 per team), you can win a prize for having the best Teacher Scare! This is a three-week competition with the three winning scares shared on October 30th. Each week, participates be given two days to film and scare their assigned teacher. You will submit that video to the Sophomore Class Officers who will upload all the videos into a QR code where anyone at Ridgeline can vote for their top three scares of the week. The top scares for the week will move on to the next week and receive a new teacher to scare. There will be a first, second, and third prize given out at the end of competition.

1st place: A $50 Amazon gift card

2nd place: A $25 Chick-Fil-A gift card

3rd place: A full size candy bar

This event supports Ridgeline High School. Your team/individual entry fee goes directly to the fundraiser.

The event starts on October 13, 2026 and will take place twice a week for the next three weeks. (Below is the schedule for scare days and other important information.) Teams/individuals will all compete the first week, October 13th and 14th, and if you/your team advances to the next week, you'll be informed and given your next target.

To register your team, purchase the "participate registration fee" located in the shop on this page. You will give us your team information as well as agree to the participation terms.

Scare A Teacher Schedule:

9/30 – Sign ups open, look for the QR codes/flyers around the school

10/19 - last day for sign up by end of school day 3 pm. Teacher assigned sent at 5 pm

10/20 - 10/21 - First round: Scare video sent to Miss Shaw by 5 pm on 10/21

10/22 - Voting open for whole school from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Email sent confirming if you are moving on sent at 8 pm and next teacher assignment given.

10/23 - Top 5 announced over announcements.

10/27 - 10/28 - final week: Scare video sent to Miss Shaw by 5 pm on 10/28

10/29 - Voting open for whole school from 7:30 am to 5 pm. 

10/30 - Winners announced with a video announcement during 3rd hour. Pick up your prizes from Miss Shaw’s room.
