Our forms are long and complex. Is there any way to simplify so that users are only answering the relevant questions?
We've updated approval forms! Now you can create dynamic approval forms with various question types, dependencies, and even file uploads. Tailor your form to route the user to additional questions when certain responses are given.
Under the Administration section in your left-side menu, open the Approvals page. Here you'll find that the approval form allows you to add new questions of various types.
Begin by adding a new section. Sections are groups of questions that are displayed together. A section can have as many questions as needed, but the power of a section is found in it's visibility. You can configure when a section is visible, using the Configure Visibility button found at the bottom of each section.
Configure visibility based on the answers provided in a previous question. For instance, if you'd like to show a section of questions asking for details about the products they plan to sell, you likely only want to display those questions if the campaign is actually going to sell products. By default, each section is set to "Always show this section," but you can toggle that instead to "Show this section when..." Use this option and select a previous question like "Will you be providing goods or services?" and set the condition for when the section should be shown. In this case, if the question is marked as "Yes." You can configure visibility based on what a previous answer is equal to, is not equal to, contains, is greater than, or less than, and whether or not the questions is answered at all.
In addition to conditional visibility. You also have various types of questions you can ask. Examples include text, paragraph, single select, mutli-select, dropdown, numerical, file upload, and address.
Existing approval forms are being upgraded by our team to make the most of these capabilities, but feel free to explore these options on your own to see the power of simplifying even the most complex approval forms with SuccessFund.
