HMS Band Tuners & Microphones

Every wind instrumentalist (non-percussion student) in the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble class needs to have a personal tuner and microphone for band class daily. These help us learn to hear and quickly and accurately adjust our pitch to match the group in real time.

Beginning oboe and bassoon students also need one of these for class, as this is a critical and difficult skill to learn on those two instruments. Once purchased, students will receive their tuner and microphone from Mrs. Champion in band class.
