You can now sanction booster clubs, PTAs, and PTOs right in SuccessFund!
Many districts require external groups to be officially recognized each year, but the process usually lives on paper forms, email attachments, and spreadsheets. This feature update brings the whole thing into SuccessFund, so groups apply online and your team reviews everything in one place.
How it works:
- Administrators can enable sanctioning for their district (External Groups > Settings) and set how long an approval lasts, such as 12 months for an annual cycle
- Districts build their own application with short answers, multiple choice, dates, and document uploads for things like bylaws, officer lists, and financial reviews. You can even upload your existing paper form as a PDF and the questions are pulled out automatically
- Groups apply from a banner on their screen, and reviewers with the right permission can approve, reject, or send questions back, with the full conversation saved in one thread
- Status badges on the External Groups page show exactly where every group stands, so it’s easy to spot who still needs to submit
- Renewals are pre-filled with the group’s previous answers, and their current sanctioning stays active while the renewal is reviewed, so there’s no gap
Groups that were approved on paper before joining SuccessFund don’t have to reapply. An admin can record their status manually and set the expiration to match.
To get started, administrators can turn on sanctioning under External Groups > Settings.
