An Alexander Murray Faculty Recital 

In 1991, the Fort Lewis College Music Department established the Alexander Murray Faculty Recital Series to celebrate the remarkable legacy of Alexander Murray, a distinguished studio concertmaster violinist from Los Angeles. Mr. Murray’s bond with Fort Lewis College is highlighted through his granddaughter, Carrie Hodel Pascoe, who attended the College in the late 1980s, and his daughter, Andie Davison, who currently resides in Durango.

Following Mr. Murray’s passing in 1990, his family generously donated his vast collection of music, comprising several thousand scores, to the College. To honor this significant gift, the recital series was named after him.
